A longtime educator, Sister Miriam Patrick has an MA from DePaul University and years of experience as teacher and principal. She has served as Chair of Board of Trustees in several institutions and most recently served as Associate Director of the Office of Vicar for Priests in the Archdiocese of Chicago.
ESL Program Coordinator
Margarita Silva is Corazón a Corazón’s English as a Second Language Coordinator. Margarita is a graduate of Chicago State University and has received a BA in Spanish. She has over 6 years of experience in teaching and in the Federal TRIO Programs. These Federal outreach and student service programs are designed to identify and provide services for individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds. A native of Chicago’s Southside, Margarita is driven to help serve the surrounding communities through education.
Mayra Pimentel provides administrative support to Corazón a Corazón. She received a BA in Studio Art with a concentration in Photography from Chicago State University. Mayra has experience in working with nonprofits for over 2 years and like Corazon a Corazon’s mission, she is highly motivated to help improve our community through educational opportunities. Being a first generation college graduate, Mayra works to encourage youth in their pursuit of higher education.
